Genetically Modified Corn
This site aims to unpack the technology of Genetically Modified/Genetically Engineered Corn, which is one of the largest produced crops made in the United States. Our findings report on the background of genetically engineered corn (why and how it is made) as well as the controversy over the technology in both scientific and public settings. Our report touches on benefits of different types of genetically engineered corn along with controversial environmental, health, and public opinions over the technology.

Feel free to look through our site for any additional information regarding our team, research findings, evaluative statement, expert interview, annotated bibliographies, or presentation slides.

While the research report provides information about genetically engineered corn in an unbiased way, our evaluative statement reflects more on our opinion and thoughts on the topic after weeks of research.

We would also like to extend a thank you to our expert, Toby Bradshaw, who took his time to give us as much information as possible about his knowledge on the topic of genetically engineered food. He also told us a story about how genetic engineering has affected his life and work. Check out more information about our interview with him here!

Our team also created a Twitter account to update anyone interested in following the progress of this report. You can go directly to our Twitter page here, or you can read our last few tweets in the Twitter feed to the right.
